Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Trucking and Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The Trucking and Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transportation of equipment and materials for our live events. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate trucking services and trucking vendors for event logistics.
Manage and direct a small team of driver technicians, ensuring they are well-trained and adhere to safety standards.
Collaborate closely with our Warehouse team to efficiently prep and pack trucks with event equipment.
Maintain an impeccable driving record and lead by example in adhering to safe driving practices.
Be flexible in working nights and weekends as event schedules require.
Willingness to travel to various event locations, including occasional overnight stays.
Ensure compliance with DCE Productions’ non-smoking and drug-free workplace policies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in trucking and logistics, preferably in the live events or entertainment industry.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex transportation schedules.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
An impeccable driving record with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
